【瞬間看漫畫III】<冷戰漫畫> (Cold War cartoon)

今次分享一個冷門小小既冷戰漫畫

以下漫畫刊登於1980年 (The following cartoon was published in 1980)

問題好簡單，用三分鍾時間睇下自己識唔識啦！

1. 試解釋漫畫所反映的是那一件事件? (Which incident did the cartoon refers to?)

2. 為什麼會出現這一件事件? (Why would this incident break out?)

答案:

1. 漫畫反映的是1980年的杯葛莫斯科奧運會事件 (1980 Summer Olympics boycott)

原因: 漫畫刊登於1980年，而且奧運會中的選手獨自參與賽事，漫畫的標題更寫上「最寂寞的長跑選手」。

同時，漫畫指出奧運會缺乏大使館的支持，由此可見，這是因為美國聯同其他西方國家共同杯葛1980年的莫斯科奧運會。

Reasons: The cartoon was published in 1980 and there is only one ‘lonely’ long distance runner in the match.

Also, the Olympics did not have the support from Embassy, which reflects that U.S. boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics with other Western countries.

2. 原因是因為蘇聯在1979年入侵阿富汗，美國在警告無效後與蘇聯關係轉差，因而決定聯合其他西方國家杯葛莫斯科奧運會。

The reason is that USSR invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Relations between US and USSR turned hostile and U.S. decided to boycott the Summer Olympics boycott in 1980 to punish USSR.
